Our mission starts right at the employee
GSK’s mission to enable everyone to do more, feel better, live longer begins from within our company, we are as deeply committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of our own employees and their families as important as to our patients and customers.
GSK’s global prevention health program includes medical services recommended for families by WHO such as cancer screening, general health check-ups, prenatal care and vaccination for children and adults.
This program helps to improve people’s awareness regarding illness preventions and to take initiative in protecting the health and well-being of GSK’ s employees as well as their families by providing early diagnosis of diseases in order to optimize treatments’ outcome.
This represents GSK’s significant effort in building an excellent talent pool, supporting employees in achieving the best accomplishment at work as well as leading them towards a healthy life.
Spreading the value of preventive healthcare
Life nowadays evolving more and more concerns and worries. Most Vietnamese people don’t tend to do early screening, they only get treatments once the illnesses have been diagnosed and sometimes don’t take initiative towards preventive healthcare at various stages in life, for family members of different age group.
Therefore, GSK believe that by creating a program from existing resources we can provide employees and their families access to preventive health services at little to no cost. Especially when WHO emphasises the great value of vaccination at all ages and early screening of non-infectious diseases such as blood pressure, cardiovascular, diabetes and different types of cancer which can be treated if found early.
Mr. Dan Millard, Chief Representative GSK in Vietnam shared: “GSK always aims to create a working environment in which employees don’t just get supported to deliver their work, but also feel a sense of proud of and trust for the organisation. I’m sure that with each and every employees and families well-taken care of, we can spread the impact, bringing more medication and vaccination to more patients and communities, anywhere they’re needed”
