GSK names Hervé Gisserot as Head of Pharmaceuticals, Asia Pacific

Singapore, 16 January 2017 – GSK today announced that Hervé Gisserot has been appointed Head of Pharmaceuticals, Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.

In his new role, Hervé will report to Abbas Hussain, President of Global Pharmaceuticals and will oversee the company’s commercial operations and product portfolio across the Asia Pacific. The region comprises Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Hervé was previously SVP and General Manager, China and Hong Kong Pharmaceuticals, a position which he held since 2013. He also held other senior positions in GSK including  SVP Europe Area Head, Pharmaceuticals Europe and SVP and General Manager of GSK France.

Prior to joining GSK in 2008, he spent ten years with Sanofi-Aventis and 12 years in the Fournier Group.

He succeeds Jo LeCouiliard, who has taken up a new position in the UK as SVP Global Commercial Transformation.
